The Chinese Government hopes that, from 2021 onwards, the proportion of new or updated vehicles in the public sector, such as public transport, taxation, logistics and distribution will be at least 10 percent in national ecological civilization pilot and key areas for air pollution prevention and control. In the New Energy Vehicle Industrial Development Plan 2021-2035, the Chinese government aims to improve power battery and management system, to carry out advanced modular battery and fuel cell technology research, to explore a new generation of vehicle motor drive system, to strengthen the development of key components and systems for intelligent networked vehicles, and to make breakthroughs in improving the research and development capabilities of basic technologies, advanced processes, core components, and key materials.
