Question 21 (9 points) The Temperate Garden is a destination greenhouse for hard-to-find flowers, trees and shrubs. The greenhouse is extremely busy during the spring planting season with ten employees working behind the counter sharing two cash registers. The prices of most items are preprogrammed into the cash register. Deliveries of plants and related items arrive all day and are received by the greenhouse workers who sign off on the delivery and place the items in the appropriate area of the greenhouse. The delivery drivers then take the invoice to the front counter where an employee will pay for the goods out of the cash in the till. If the invoice amount is large, the employee writes out a cheque, finds the owner to sign the cheque and gives the signed cheque to the delivery driver. The invoice is stamped paid and placed on the owner's desk. At the end of the day, each register generates a sales report and one of the employees will count the cash in both registers, and after subtracting the float, will compare the total with the sales report. Then the employee puts the cash in an unlocked drawer in the office for the owner to deposit. Instructions In your own words, Identify and explain three internal control activities that may be violated in this situation. (9 marks)
