Question 3 (10 marks - Recommended time: 25 minutes) A7X Ltd. is a guitar and amplifier merchandising business. A7X Ltd. recently purchased guitar inventory from its supplier, Schecter Guitars (SG), in the hopes of reselling these guitars to local customers. You have been provided with the following set of events Oct 15 A7X Ltd. orders 30 guitars from SG at a cost of $1,000 per guitar. The guitars will not be shipped/delivered to A7X Ltd, until November Nov 5 A7X Ltd. receives the 30 guitars from SG. This purchase is on account. There are no discounts available, and payment is not due until December. Nov 7 Since SG accidentally shipped the guitars to A7X Ltd.'s head office, A7X Ltd. pays $200 cash to Purolator to ship the bundle of guitars to its retail location so that the guitars will be in a condition and location ready for sale. Nov 8 As a result of the shipping error, SG grants an allowance of $200 on account, thereby reducing the amount payable by A7X Ltd. for the guitars. Nov 10 ATX Ltd. sells all 30 guitars to a corporate customer on account at a price of $1,500 cach (and a cost of goods sold of $1,000 each). The terms of the sale are 5/15, 1/30. Nov 14 The corporate customer notifies A7X Ltd. that one of the guitars has noticeable cosmetic damage. Consequently, A7X Ltd. provides the customer with a $1,000 allowance and the customer keeps the guitar. The allowance is applied directly to the customer account, thereby reducing the amount receivable from the customer. Nov. 15 The corporate customer realizes that it purchased the wrong model for 6 guitars. These 6 guitars are returned to A7X Ltd. for a full refund. The refund is applied directly to the customer account, thereby reducing the amount receivable from the customer. Nov 23 The corporate customer paid its remaining balance owing to A7X Ltd. Required: Prepare the journal entry/entries that A7X Ltd must record at each of the given dates (or indicate if no journal entry is required)
