Bhd. for the month of November 2020 RM RM Receipts 2,969 Balance b/d 2.261 Balance c/d 2,054 Payments 2.762 5,023 5,023 All receipts are banked and all payments are made by cheque. On investigation the followings were discovered: a. Bank charges of RM1,136 entered on the bank statement have not been entered in the cash book b. Cheques drawn amounting to RM1,267 had not been presented to the bank for payment. c. Cheques received totaling RM1,762 had been entered in the cash book and paid into the bank but had not been credited by the bank until 3 December 2020. d. A cheque for RM1,022 for sundries had been entered in the cash book as a receipt instead of as a payment. c. A cheque received from K. Jones for RM1,080 had been returned by the bank and marked "No funds available". No adjustment has been made in the cash book. f. A standing order for a business rates installment of RM1,150 on 30 November 2020 had not been entered in the cash book. g. All dividends received are credited directly to the bank account. During November amounts totaling RM1.062 were credited by the bank but no entries were made in the cash book h. A cheque drawn for RM1,066 for stationery had been incorrectly entered in the cash book as RM1,060. i. The balance brought forward in the cash book should have been RM2,211, not RM2,261. You are required to: (1) Show the adjustments required in the Cash Book. (10 marks) (ii) Prepare a Bank Reconciliation Statement as at 30 November 2020. (10 marks) (Total: 20 marks)
