Now youre closed per the premiers orders, as all staff are advised to stay home. You tried to stay open for take-out only but it didnt work. The premier has announced that some restrictions will be eased next week, and you can open with 25% capacity. There are a few students around, but many more expected within the next three months. You have enough cash in the bank to stay pay the firms fixed costs (rent, insurance) until the new school semester starts. Youll lose even more money if you open now at 25% capacity and have to pay variable costs (wages, ingredients). Your staff need their jobs, however, coming back also increases their risk of infection. Explain the relevant Ethical Theories and apply the Synergy Star to decide what is the best way forward?
