QUESTION 6 Total 10 marks On 30 September 2014, the Cash in Bank account of Bondi Ltd had a balance of $12,914. On that day, the bank statement showed a balance of $8,230. A comparison of cheque records and bank advices revealed the following: (1) Deposits in transit at 30 September 2014 totalled $3 ,000. (2) Outstanding cheques 30 September 2014 totalled $4,030. (3) The bank included in the account $36 interest income earned by Bondi Ltd during September 2014. (4) The bank collected a $2,900 note receivable for Mary and charged a $16 collection fee. Both items appear in the bank statement. (5) A bank service charge of $24, in addition to the collection fee was not yet recorded in the books. (6) The bank returned a cheque stating that Mark's cheque for $250 had been returned due to insufcient funds. (7) Bondi Ltd recorded the payment from a customer as $490; the cheque received was $790.
