His parents have been worried about him because he does not take any time out of studying and barely even sleeps or eats. They wanted to understand the reason behind his motivation to work so hard. While they were having a discussion about him, David's mother asserted that he has always been a motivated and hardworking boy. She believes that he has always had the drive to excel. David's father, on the other hand, believes David's motivation comes from external factors. According to him, David wants the respect and money that comes with being a successful surgeon.
