Question: Can you re-word this speech with the similar job as an Aircraft Mechanic so it does not look it.

Welcome Professor and class.

I am here today to explain to you why I chose to be in the career of aircraft maintenance. I have a great love for this job. In order to step into this career it takes a lot of attention to detail, patience and an ample amount of training. Today I will be going over the aspects of a crew chief or aircraft maintainer.

Have you ever wondered how aircrafts constantly stay flying without  breaking, or how the United States can maintain air power superiority? It's not only just the well trained pilots that exist, but the highly trained personnel on the ground that constantly inspect and fix these aircraft.

I am Jesse Carreon, and I have been in aviation maintenance for around 27 years. I have worked on KC 135 tanker aircraft and now I am currently working as a support section chief. I have worked in several different sectors of aviation maintenance, such as trainer for the new technician and support shop, which is making sure all tools and test set for the aircraft are in good working conditions and FOD (Foreign Object Damage) control after maintenance are complete.

Before starting with why I chose and now love this career, there is a lot of background on how to become an aircraft mechanic. I was not particularly ready for all training when I joined the Air Force for this career.

There is extensive training that goes into being an aircraft mechanic. On personal accounts, I technically have not stopped training since I stepped foot into my first class. My initial training was around a six-month course in Texas sitting behind a desk learning concepts and theories about aircraft, with a little hands on training. This course was rigorous and took a lot of studying. As I am a hands-on type of person, this was a bit difficult for me, but I prevailed. After that course, which I learned a lot, I was sent to Arizona for around a month. I finally got my hands on training. This is where I excelled. I was now turning wrenches and working around real aircraft. It was a long seven months but I was learning and becoming more familiar with being an aircraft mechanic.

As I continued to learn and study; I was becoming familiar with safety and how attention to detail are key players in this career. This is another great aspect of being an aircraft mechanic.

It takes a lot of attention to detail to keep safe around aircraft, and to keep others safe. According to Maintenance Safety & Prevention, Safety is #1 priority; from daily maintenance to overhauling aircraft, it's crucial for keeping a fleet in peak condition. As I look back on my career so far, I have realized how ingrained attention to detail and safety has become to me. Attention to detail is necessary to keep aircraft flying. I must be meticulous as I inspect aircraft so that I do not miss anything that could be a problem. For example, because attention to detail is necessary, we inspect all of our tools to ensure they are accounted for before and after every maintenance action we complete. If we are missing something after we are done, everything stops and everyone looks for that tool until it's found. As I work on aircraft daily, my attention to detail and safety procedures have to be top notch. I have to identify things that are not safe or not working properly. This will protect everyone that utilizes the aircraft. If I don't identify issues, it could lead to potential consequences. Although you must be on your "A" game at all times in this career field, I have come to love this job.

I have a huge amount of respect and love of this job. In my younger years I grew up on a farm and had to work on everything. As I grew older I figured out I was good at being a mechanic. Yet I felt like I needed more of a challenge. I turned to the Air Force to become an aircraft mechanic. I always watched aircraft pass over my house when I was younger, as I was in the flight path of a major airport. I had always wondered how those aircraft worked. I wanted to get the knowledge on it. Aircraft are amazing, it's a big hunk of metal that can defy gravity. I thought to myself that being an aircraft mechanic is a career that I should look into. Shortly after joining the Air Force and going to school, I realized I made the right choice. It came easy for me. I get great satisfaction every day, as I preform maintenance on these incredible flying machines. I wouldn't think of doing anything else than this in life.

It not only takes love and devotion to do my job, but many other aspects to choose a career that makes me happy.

I get a sense of accomplishment every day as I preform my job. Although It takes a lot training and perseverance to become an aircraft mechanic. My attention to detail has to be topnotch to keep everyone safe. With all that in mind, I do not miss a beat when it comes to preforming my best every day. I have great respect for myself and other mechanics like me.
