Part of this appraisal entails examination and review of key international construction firms. On this basis, the company CEO has requested you to carry out a desktop review of 2no. Global construction firms with a view to recommending 'best practice' for international expansion. Instructions:

1. You may select any two Global construction firms from across the world. Both firms must be of the same discipline i.e. contractors, design firms, Quantity Surveying firms, M&E etc. They must operate internationally i.e. operate outside of their domestic market.

2. Typical areas for collecting data & information:

Company website (e.g. news, about us, newsletters etc)

General Google search

Construction magazines

Commercial publications (e.g. industry reports etc)

Government publications etc. 3. You should use academic publications (e.g. Journals) to back up some of your recommendations for the CEO.

The report should include: Introduction (10%); Main Body (65%) - use subsections; Conclusions & Recommendations (20%); and References (5%).
