The amount is paid to the maid servants directly by the company. h) The company provided him with a soft furnished accommodation for which GH 800 is deducted from source every month. i) He was provided with driver, vehicle with fuel for both official and private use j) He contributed 5.5 % of his salary towards the social security funds and the employer contributes 13%. k) He was appointed a director of Esi -Asabea Ltd and was paid a total of 40,700 net of 20% withholding tax in 2022 year of assessment as directors emolument. l) He earned divided of GH19,500 on his investment in Antwi-Bosiako Ltd. m) He also engaged in trading activities which earned him an agreed chargeable income with the GRA of GH 48,000 in 2022 year of assessment. He paid GH6,000 tax to GRA on his trading activities for 2022 year of assessment. n) His employers deducted a tax of GH28,000 from his salary and paid to GRA for 2022 year of assessment. o) He received a loan of GHS 10,000.00 at a rate of 10% payable within 18 months, effective 1st July, 2022. Assume that the statutory rate is 20% p.a. p) He donated GH 9,000 to Ghana Black stars during the 2022 Afcon. q) GH 2000 monthly deductions is made at source for his mortgage interest. r) Special retirement package of which he contributes 5% of basic salary, which the company pays 3 14% of his basic salary. The special retirement scheme has not been approved by the National Pension Authority. s) He has two wives and six children. Two of the children are offering BSc. Accounting at UPSA while the other four are in approved basic schools in Ghana. He has full responsibility over his family and his aged mother and father. t) His salary for December, 2022 was paid in January, 2023.
