  1. The books of APR Ltd failed to balance as at 31 March 2016 and the difference of sh 91,000 was placed on the debit side of the Suspense Account. Subsequently, the following errors were detected;

  1. A cheque dated 1 April 2016 for sh. 11,000 received from Waa Ltd had been credited to their account but not entered in the Cash book

  1. The Sales Day Book had been overcast by sh. 2,000

  1. Returns Inward Day Book had been overcast by sh. 3,000

  1. Payment to Young Ltd for a cash purchase of a second hand motor van worth shs. 35,000 hadbeen credited to their account.

  1. Payment of sh 7,000 for insurance had been charged to rent receivable account.

  1. Purchase Day Book had been under cast by sh. 1,000

  1. Rent due but not received amounting to sh. 6,000 from Tenant ltd. Had been credited to their account.
