| QUESTION TWO (33 marks) | Stella Bak, age 30, is a marketing clerk at Work, Work, Work, Inc. (\"WWW"), where she has been employed for the past twelve (12) years. She enjoys her job and over the years has consistently received positive reviews and employee evaluations. Given her young family, the predictable 9am-5pm working hours (with a 45-minute unpaid lunch break) are ideal. She also appreciates that her original employment agreement states that if Stella works overtime, she is entitled to overtime pay. In November 2023, Stella's boss, Bradley Jackson, retired and Cory Ellison was hired to be the new VP Marketing and Stella's new boss. On his first day, Cory advised Stella that he would like to \"get to know\" Stella and scheduled a meeting with her for the next day. Stella spent a lot of time preparing for her first meeting with her new boss. She reviewed WWW's social media strategy, she prepared summaries of WWW's most recent ad campaigns and made a list of all the upcoming marketing initiatives with which she was involved. Stella felt very prepared for her first meeting with her new boss. After the meeting, Stella was confused and concerned. During the meeting, Cory did not ask any questions about WWW's social media strategy, ad campaign or marketing initiatives. Instead, he asked Stella if she was married, whether she had any children and whether she was planning to have more children. He also asked Stella about her religious beliefs and whether or not she was planning to take any of her vacation days for religious holidays. Cory told Stella that the answers to these questions would help him staff upcoming marketing files appropriately. As Stella is leaving, Cory says, \"you know Stella, you are very pretty and very smart.\" During Cory's first few weeks on the job, Cory gives Stella a lot to do, mostly at 4:45pm and requiring that the work be completed \"immediately\"! Stella regularly stays late (often until 7pm) and has not been receiving any overtime payment. When Stella asks Cory about overtime payment, he sharply says: \"just be happy you have a job. Canada is likely going into a recession\". The work environment continues to deteriorate. Cory, in addition to being rude and condescending to Stella, has started to assign her tasks that are not at all related to marketing.
