Juliet filed a suit against Peterson seeking maintenance of a minor. On 27th May 2021. the trial magistrate issued some maintenance orders against Peterson. Aggrieved by the said ruling and order, Peterson filed an application seeking review of the orders issued on 27th May 2021. On 4th November 2021, in a well-reasoned ruling, the trial magistrate dismissed the application for review. Again, aggrieved by the ruling of the trial magistrate delivered on 4th November 2021, Peterson filed an appeal on 30th November 2021.

A reading of the memorandum of appeal by Peterson reveals that he is challenging both the ruling dated 27th May 2021 and the other one dated 4th November 2021, Juliet has raised a preliminary objection challenging the competence of the appeal. The preliminary objection has been argued and a ruling date has been given.
