Develop a logical argument for how these are connected to one another and outcomes (individual and organizational). Use the textbook (and the studies it cites) or other sources to support your argument

First, I would start by pulling together data and research to share with my manager. For example, there are yearly studies completed by Glassdoor, reviewing organizations employee satisfaction results, and ranking them amongst each other. According to a recent study, "no evidence that positive employee relationships come at the expense of financial performance. Firms can have both." (Fulmer et al). In fact, employee satisfaction has been identified as a trait of outperforming competitors. In addition, once these studies or awards are shared to the world (via social media, television, career sites, etc.) it acts as an organic talent pipeline because employees desire to work for an organization that values them. They want to be able to share ideas and help in creating new initiatives. Also, positive employee experiences typically cascade throughout an organization and help in cultivating a good foundation for success.

Next, I would recommend to my manager (if this is not already in place) the creation of an employee survey for our organization. This would be a great way to gather data specific to our company and start understanding where our gaps could be. Also, this is typically a low-costing initiative that can net large profits (lower turnover, as an example). After reviewing the data, we could start to structure our action plan and milestones to validate our progress/success. This could also be leveraged as a coaching tool to help managers improve their team culture and overall leadership skills.
