5. To investigate how online lessons have been affecting tertiary education, a group of students from University H were interviewed and studied with their consent. These students had been classified according to three different criteria: . year of study at the university: whether a student is in his/her junior or senior year of study . perception towards online lessons: whether a student is positive or negative towards the effectiveness of online lessons . academic performance in the past semesters when online lessons were implemented: whether a student has attained exceptional or average academic performance Table 1 below summarises the number of students in each of these categories.
