Reflect, or think about, your own reading process. Consider carefully what it is that makes up your reading process. In other words, what moves do you implement to help you develop understanding of the texts you read?

Think of a specific example to help you understand, and thus describe, your reading process. Consider how you went about reading Spaces for Writing prior to me guiding you through the (i) notice method.

Next, take notes on this reading process. Find a way to document your reflections and observations of your own process.

What do you do? Think of the place you read, your mood and attitude, your preparation, what you do before reading, what you do during reading, what you d after, etc. Note down the "Steps" or "moves" that make up your reading process, so you can then describe them. If you don't have steps, then note all that down. Note down what you don't do and what you do do! There is no wrong answer. The point is to get out as much detail as possible.

Last, use your notes, which are actually draft materials, to describe your reading process. Turn these notes into sentences and paragraphs. How can you bring out as much detail as possible? How can you bring this process to life for your readers?

Consider your audience, which for this exercise, are your classmates. What kind of diction will you rely on? What kind of tone do you want to create? How will you effectively describe your reading process to your audience? Play!

This description must be at minimum 7 sentences.
