Rational advertising appeals are common sense reasons for buying a product, such as low maintenance or long term savings. Emotional reasons include love, self-esteem, peer group acceptance, fear, and self-fulfillment. Think of an organization for which an emotional advertising appeal would be most effective, and think of one for which a rational appeal would be best.
