Rationale: To observe a live sporting event from the perspective of a sport psychology professional and suggest ways in which concepts learned in class are carried out on the field or in the gym.

Instructions: Attend an intercollegiate competition as a spectator. Keep your ticket stub to include on your written paper. If you can't obtain a ticket stub, please provide a selfie of yourself at the event and include it on your paper. Using a "sport psychology perspective," observe and take notes on the coaches, athletes, athletic trainers, and/or officials as they perform.

Prompt: Write paper detailing your specific observations of behaviors and how those behaviors may be related to sport psychology principles discussed in class (discuss a minimum of three concepts). Also include your personal reactions to observing a game from this perspective. Must use at least three different peer-reviewed journal articles (1 for each topic). 3-4 pages typed, double-space, APA (title, introduction, page numbers, in-text citations, conclusion, reference list, etc.). Exceptions to APA: no abstract required and you may use the first person when appropriate.
