You can choose to do a Google News Search for psychology or look for articles on your go-to news site. DO NOT use Psychology Today (or other popular magazines - it is not a news source). DO NOT use press releases from the University the original researchers/authors of the research are affiliated with.

Briefly summarize the article and write a reflection answering the following questions:

1. What is the objective of the article? Is it to present factual information or to change opinions/behavior (or both)?

2. Does the article reference specific research (such as an observational study or an experiment)? If so, what are the details? If not, how can you determine if the article's claims are true?

3. Apply critical thinking to assess the article's legitimacy. Did the author(s) present enough evidence to support his/her/their claims? What bias may have influenced the author(s) perspective? How could this article have better informed the general public about current psychological research?
