I challenge you to unplug (no texting, social media, gaming, etc.) for 4-8 hours (not while you are asleep) and observe your thoughts and behaviour. After your 'screen free' time is up, write a Journal entry that answers the following questions:
1. Describe observations you have about the experience of consciously unplugging - how were your thoughts and behaviours different from being 'plugged in'? What did you spend your time doing instead?
2. Use examples from what you learned in Gruman's article and from what you have learned in the course so far to discuss whether you think your personal relationships have been or are impacted by your phone/social media use in both negative and positive ways.
