Cara Sabin is the CEO and founder of Sundial Brands. The type of leadership style that Cara Sabin embodies is charismatic leadership. The charismatic leadership style is described as someone who changes the fundamental beliefs of their followers, implant loyalty of customers, and pulls them to give up personal interests for the sake of the collective goal. Sabin does what she can to inform her customers or followers of the harmful products we are putting on our bodies and, in our hair, and the amount of waste other companies keep hidden. Sabin does what she can to make people aware of these issues in the industry, without tearing other brands down and ruining their chances of selling products. With Sabin informing her followers of this, it causes the customers to be more inspired to support this brand and learn more about her products. Regarding her leadership style, she tries to keep her employees informed and inspired to keep making these products, so she is able to keep sharing her views and beliefs. Sabin believes that keeping everyone informed will help encourage people to support their brands, and eventually come together to reach the collective goal. Something that keeps me interested in Sabin and all the brands she has is that her company (specifically Shea Moisture) is a certified B Corporation. I bought these products because they do not have harmful products, but once I realized that they were BCorp certified I went out and bought a few more products. Not only are their products very healthy for us, but in her companies, they are transparent with the public when it comes to ingredients, and they do what they can to reduce waste while packaging and producing all their products. This is relevant in the charismatic leadership style because Sabin has built a strong followership with her inspirational visions, causing more and more people to support her brands.
