For a legal and ethical unit (CHCLEG003-Manage Legal and Ethical Compliance) in the Diploma of Youth Work (CHC50413)

 

Required two policies(client record management, and collection and use of client information)   to be developed for an Australian community service organization for youth. 

"Fuel to Flourish" is the name of the organization which i made up, as cannot use the names of existing services or organizations. Policies were to comply with Australian Privacy and Confidentiality legislation, industry standards/requirements, and other relevant statutory and compliance obligations, standards, and practices.

 

The policies are then to be used in a staff training presentation and lesson plan used to train workers in the two (2) new policies and procedures that have been developed. 




This policy describes the principles and procedures followed by Fuel to Flourish when managing, disclosing, securing, storing, archiving, accessing, correcting, and disposing client records and client information. Fuel to Flourish is committed to upholding client privacy and confidentiality, acknowledging the significance of effective records management in providing high-quality services and fulfilling legal responsibilities. This policy delineates our dedication to upholding accurate, confidential, and secured client records in alignment with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPS) and other pertinent legislation. This policy aims to establish a business framework for transparent client record management, upholding privacy, confidentiality, and adherence to relevant legislation and industry standards, while providing guidance for the administration and management of client records. SCOPE: This policy and procedure applies to all employees of the organisation, as well as to any contractors or other third parties who have access to client records.
