READ THE QUESTION PROPERLY PLEASE!
A couple of years ago, when my daughter was 4 years oldd, she provided the following answer to one of her questions in her workbook.
"There are 6 apples and 3 baskets. How many apples go in each basket so it is fair?"
Her answer was: "1 apple to the 1st basket, 2 apples to the 2nd basket, and 3 apples to the 3rd basket."
I did not ask for her reasoning. But a couple of days later, I gave her four cookies and told her to share them with her brother, who was 2 years old then. I observed that she gave him two and kept two. How would you explain the difference between her response to the question and her actual behavior?.
