Explain briefly your understanding of what the first amendment does and doesn't protect. The Amendment is often misquoted by people to conflate their right to speech with an assumed (but incorrect) assumption of a right to a PLATFORM for speech. In other words - I have a right to say anything I want but my private employer also has the right to fire me if they don't like it. Everyone else has a right to not listen and not care. Can a public university not admit you because of something on your social media page? What about a private one?
