read this excerpt:
I consider the Mount-Sinai ticket to be a contract. This ticket contains the requirements needed to categorize the document as a contact. It consists of the following elements: offer, acceptance, consideration, contractual capacity, legality, and no defense. There are many types of contracts, but the Mount-Sinai ticket is a bilateral contract because it involves both parties concur to exchanging items or services. The first element is the offer for anyone who wishes to park their vehicle in the hospital. The second element would be acceptance which is when the patients and/or visitors determine to park their vehicle in the hospital's parking lot. The next element would be consideration, which states it grants patients or visitors can park their automobile if they pay the fee. The person paying for the parking ticket has contractual capacity because they are aware they are parking in the hospital parking lot. The next element would be ensuring that the contract is legal. Last but not least, this is the sixth element which is no defense. It states that the patient or visitor is parking their motor vehicle and that hospital does not have any responsibility for any stolen items or damage taken to the car. Any damage or stolen items would be solely reliant on the driver's liability.
