Over the years, job satisfaction has decreased significantly. According to the employee survey, over the last 4 years the employees feel that they are not being appreciated. The supervisors are not using their staff to the best of their abilities.
Under the working conditions, the employees feel that they cannot trust their supervisor. There needs to be a significant improvement between staff and the supervisor.
Desired Future StateWhere Would You Like to Be?
In order to show that you care for the employees, get to know them by asking about their spouse, children and or their hobbies. The employee should feel valued by the employer. Two years from now, the employee satisfaction survey should see an increase of 15% with the changes that were implemented.
Acknowledge your staff for their hard work. You can do this by complimenting or offering praise to them in private or create a recognition program to boost morale. Also, have weekly staff meetings to address issues and listen to your staff's feedback. Since the last survey and with the implementation changes the desired amount of improvement is 20%.
Create an open line of communication to build trust. Such as an open-door policy. Employees should feel they can speak their mind without being judged on what is being said. This will be trust between employer and employee. The desired amount of improvement from the last survey should be 25%. The changes implemented should be a steppingstone.
