Recently, while on company business, Harry, a director of World Wide Web Publishing Pty Ltd (WWW) became aware of a potentially very profitable software publishing product. Harry told the other directors "that the company has little to fear from the new software as it was an amateur product, and its developer would not last long in the industry".
Harry then secretly signed up the developers of the new product to a contract with New Age Software Pty Ltd, Harry's family company. The contract gave New Age Software Pty Ltd full copyright in the software product and it was projected to earn AUD750,000 profit in the first year of production.
The other directors of WWW have now discovered what Harry has done.
