Recently you have been promoted to the venue manager position of a large river side Community club. The Club is ran as an independent commercial business 80% of the time, while the other 20% of the time it is ran with the aim of raising funds and assisting community organisations with their fundraising and event hosting efforts. This new position requires you to be hands on. Your initial focuses are to be on: overseeing the operation of the hotel implementing a number of changes to improve service levels, while also increasing efficiency and profitability. Within your first month at the venue you have noticed a distinct pattern forming. On nights where there are low staff numbers there seems to be less service problems and the venue seems to operate more efficiently.
