I have the perfect two customer service experiences to share! I stop by Tim Hortons every weekday morning and buy the French Cruller donut and double-double coffee (two sugar and two cream). The staff at the 16th Ave. N.W. location near SAIT Polytechnic know me. I have been a regular customer for the past 8 months. All prices were posted on their screens that was transparent in all Tim Hortons locations. No price negotiation has occurred. A visit generally took less than 10 minutes. This situation was different from shopping at the Crossroads Market. I visited the farmers market every Saturday. It is always a fun visit. Often I will meet family or friends to try food samples. Vendors were friendly and informative. Even after we agreed to buy a couple of pies, the vendor would offer a third pie for price and gave free cookies to go. Food vendors were just as negotiable. Their discounts on fruit baskets progressively increased during the day as they balanced off inventory left with projected sales. One time, we stayed until close and they sold their baskets for $2 each. This particular vendor said that her husband was transporting new fruit the next day, strawberries!
