Step 1: Choose a Real-Life Leadership Experience Think about a situation where you had to take a leadership role. This could be at work, school, or in your community. It could be a project you led, a team you managed, or an event you organized. 

Step 2: Write a Brief Backstory Write a brief backstory about this experience. Use fictitious names to protect privacy. Describe the situation, the people involved, and your role. For example, "In my role as project manager (fictitious name: Alex) at XYZ Company, I was tasked with leading a team (fictitious names: Bob, Carol, Dave) to complete a major project within a tight deadline." 

Step 3: Identify an Area for Leadership Growth Reflect on this experience and identify an area where you could improve your leadership skills. This could be communication, decision-making, delegation, conflict resolution, etc. For example, "During this project, I realized that I need to improve my delegation skills. I tended to take on too much work myself, which led to stress and burnout."
