Need to enjoy your work, need to get paid, and need to increase productivity Need to believe that an increase in effort yields an increase in performance, need to believe that an increase in performance is noticed/rewarded, and that they want the reward Need to understand the work being performed, being able to measure your effort vs others to feel justified, and as long as the reward is monetary it will motivate Need to feel wanted, a need to feel that you are doing more than others, and that the reward can be mental satisfaction of doing a good job
