Request for Proposals For
Tourism Economic Impact Study
Introduction
The County of Huron in southwest Ontario is the subject of a request for proposals from interested vendors made by Regional Tourism Organization 4 (RTO4).
Background
Interested vendors are invited to submit proposals for a Tourism Economic Impact Report for the County of Hu by Regional Tourism Organization 4 (RTO4). Ontario has been divided into 13 regions by the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism, and Culture Industries, which encourages the tourism sector to collaborate while adopting a regional strategy. In accordance with the new regional tourism management strategy adopted by the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, RTO4 was established in October 2010.
Huron County, Perth County, Waterloo Region, and Wellington County make up Region 4.
With the help of proactive collaborations in Huron, Perth, Waterloo, and Wellington, RTO4 seeks to boost the tourism industry. Its approach is to give the required resources directly to operators and DMOs, enabling them to recognize and capitalize on the key resources that distinguish the area.
Greg Klassen, a former president of the Canadian Tourist Commission, referred to RTO4 as the "petri dish of tourism development in North America" because of its creative, analytical, and unconventional approach to boosting tourism and economic growth.
Huron County
Southwest Ontario's Huron County is situated on the lake's edge. This thriving rural village is a leader in agricultural technology and innovation, as well as an agriculturally productive county.
Ontario's West Coast is now commonly referred to as Huron County. The County's lakeshore and countryside provide a well-rounded rural retreat that attracts a wide range of people.
Rich farmland and picturesque towns with spacious main streets, tree-lined side streets, and well-preserved Victorian-era household and commercial buildings make up Huron County's rural landscape, which is a patchwork quilt. With 110 kilometers of Lake Huron shoreline, the County offers a wealth of coastal adventures. Huron County attracts tourists with its outstanding theatre at locations like the Huron Country Place House and Blyth Festival, as well as with its museums, festivals, and leisure activities. Huron County was also a haven for travelers during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
