In view of its poor nancial performance in the past three years, City Land engaged the corporate advisory division of All Asia Financial Group Ltd (\"All Asia\"), a regional nancial services rm, to advice the company on a proposed fund raising. Ivan, the head of the corporate advisory division, was in charge of City Land's matter. He had approached several investors for raising fund to rescue City Land. Among these investors, Knight Ltd expressed strong interest to invest in City Land. The investment agreement was nally concluded between Knight Ltd and City Land. About one week before this deal was concluded, Omar, a proprietary trader in All Asia's equity sales division, started buying City Land's shares aggressively and pushed its price to a 6month high level.
