It has taught me how to build solid relationships with customers which is an imperative part of my role within a local authority . Innovation strategies and creating value - This has been a useful part of the block for me as it has opened my eyes to the way in which businesses can move forward by introducing new processes for improvement . This has helped me to understand the key roles within operations and the marketing function of a business . It has made me look closer into how my specific office is run and how we present ourselves to the rest of the business . Operational Risk - The awareness of operational risk is imperative in the role of all operational functions within a business . Practice with assessing risks in this block has widened my knowledge when at work . I currently work in a health and safety orientation environment where risk assessment is crucial . The risk matrix allows me to assess the risk and likelihood and I now use this method in my workplace on a regular basis . Value player - This part of the block was useful to understand the human resources aspect of a business . One of the most important aspects to a business , it is the department that deals with all the staff and hires the talent within a company . Customer value and satisfaction - Customer value and satisfaction can make or break a business which makes it one of the most important aspects of a business . Marketing is important here to ensure potentials customers have noticed your brand or product . This part of the block has solidified my understanding of the marketing departments within organisations .
