Early Life and Education Bom in India, Nooyi spent her early years living the college dream. When she wasn't playing cricket in college or hitting the books, she was jamming out with her friends as the lead guitar in an all-female band, playing as well as singing at events throughout her hometown of Madras. Her dedication to learning and improving herself led her to earning a bachelor's in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.
