The public defender's systems have established different ways that they can provide legal counsel and representation to those that are not able to afford a good defense attorney. those that believe in Gideons turning point helped to ensure that those who were unable to afford legal counsel still have the rights to a competent counsel, so they have their right to a fair and speedy trial with counsel on their side. When those that need counsel then the state has made accommodations to appoint one to you in this regard with the states doing this In the case of Gideon V Wainwright Gideons legacy has given significant meaning and developments have changed. this has made it much easier with just funding and effectiveness.
