As a manager in 1974 No, I would have not delayed the release of the first digital camera. A lot of companies would not be the powerhouses they are today without taking risks. Rather than siding with the leaders, I would have suggested them to think ahead of the future. If we release this idea now the Opportunities could be endless on how much the business could grow.Because they did not go with the original idea of releasing the digital camera Sony and Cannon saw an opening in the market and charged ahead with their digital camera models.Kodak needed to think of the type of business they were in not exactly what the business they were producing for consumers.Companies have to adapt to the requirements of the market that they are in business with, even if that means competing with what the already produce and taking a leap of faith on an idea. Companies need innovative people in order to help them move ahead with more profit and become bigger.
