iv) Addressing the Problem: Provides a clear and compelling description of the project, what will be done (including strategies and interventions to be adopted and implemented), and what success will look like.

v) Methodology and Approach: Thorough and detailed methodology and approach defined.

vi) Budget: Well-prepared budget with cost breakdown and justification

vii) Timeline: Phase-wise breakdown provided with timeline of each stage of completion

ABC School Registration Application

ABC School is a secondary school located in Artese, ABC City. The student population age ranges from 11 to 18. This is one of the biggest schools in that region. They currently have 990 students on roll. The school administration needs the services of a suitable professional to develop an application to manage student registration records. Automating this part of the registration process is of paramount importance as the institution takes pride in having efficient processes. The institution has been mostly using a manual process to manage students data since it first opened its doors in 1975. The registration process is tedious, laden with errors, and has a long paper trail. ABC is moving towards digitizing students files and intends to start with the registration process and slowly integrate other processes. As much as possible they want to reduce the stress levels of administrative staff and reduce long wait times for students and parents/guardians during the peak of the registration period. ABC anticipates a significant increase in data integrity and a reduction in lost files after this application is implemented.

The application should allow parents/guardians to submit a registration form, upload supporting documents, and take and/or upload a recent photograph of their child/ward. The application must integrate well with the document management system that was recently implemented at the institution and possess reporting capabilities. Most importantly, the application must be accessible on mobile devices and desktop computers.

The principal of ABC School has made it clear that the implementation of the application must happen with little or no interruption to regular business operations. They need their staff and parents/guardians to be fully acquainted with the application before June 30 for next year, when the registration for the next academic year begins. New and returning students are required to go through the registration process each year. The principal is cognizant of the fact that the users of this application will come from diverse backgrounds and possess varying capabilities. Consequently, they need a suitable party with a proven track record to take on this project given the constraints.

This project must focus solely on the primary features outlined before. Any features pertaining to students attendance, academic & medical records, and finances will be considered out of scope. In addition, the institution does not anticipate making this application available to any of its partnering institutions in the near or distant future.

Tasks

1. Assuming you are the project manager for this project, develop a request for proposal (RFP) requesting suitable bidders to develop ABC Schools registration application, using a template of your choice.
2. The contents of the RFP must possess data relevant to the clients request.
3. A logical and detailed evaluation criteria must be included. Feel free to make assumptions on your evaluation components here, however, do not go beyond the scope of this case study.
