REQUIRED: In a collaborative work to discuss issues of Indigenous Peoples involving their rights as provided in the Indigenous Peoples Rights Act. As a group, analyze the causes of challenges or difficulties faced by the IPs in their struggle for self-determination over their ancestral domains and heritage. Work on a case which involves the implementation of the IPRA provisions, specifically the FPIC.

Follow these guidelines:

1. Excluding the cases already presented in class, look for a case in the Philippines which shows the application of the FPIC in deciding on an issue involving the indigenous peoples/ cultural communities.

2. Gather information on this issue, then provide the following information: a. Title of the case b. Summary of the case c. The FPIC process conducted d. The result of the FPIC process and why it succeeded or failed e. Conclusion (lessons from the case, what could have been done differently, recommendations or possible solutions)
