Requirement Analysis
At the local high school, some departments organize clubs throughout the year and promote students to become
members. Each department is identified by department id and department name.
Each club is identified by club code and club name and assigned to one department. Each club must be
supervised by a teacher. Of course, not all teachers supervise a club. Moreover, each teacher can only supervise
one club during the year. Each teacher has a teacher id, and they want to know the first and last names of the
teacher. Each student is allowed to become a member of as many clubs as they want. For membership purposes,
the club needs to know student numbers, first and last names.
Each club has positions, such as president, vice-president, secretary, and so on that are held by students during
their membership. Each position is identified by a unique number. The clubs want to record the positions held by
students.
Using Barker's Notation Create the ER Diagram.
Resolve the many-to-many relationship and include student positions.
