Resale Value of Julia's Car

Julia is contemplating the purchase of a new car. She is considering a sedan. One of her primary concerns is how well the car will maintain its value. In particular, she is wondering how certain options affect a car's resale value.

She likes the style of a 2-door but is not adverse to a 4-door. Living in Maine near the coast, she is indifferent about purchasing a car with a sun roof, but again, would consider this option if it significantly increased the car's resale value. She is also wondering if a Turbo charged engine will add value. Finally, Julia would really like to indulge a bit and upgrade to a leather interior, but she is not clear on the value of doing this.

To analyze this situation, Julia contacted a friend who works in the used car business. He agreed to provide her with data on 50 cars that were sold this year in the area. She entered this information into a spreadsheet and is now asking you for help.

Required: Do a report for Veronica that includes the following

1. Develop a regression model to help Veronica asses the factors that affect a VW Jetta's resale value. (Using Excel is easiest)
2. Explain in plain English to Veronica how to use the regression model and what its parameters mean.
3. How your analysis could be extended to compare how well different car models maintain their values.
4. Use image below to develop regression model.
