Research design is an area where researchers collect various data to address important questions. For example, if researchers wish to find characteristics of people most likely to develop lung cancer, they will have to collect appropriate data first. Investigate three different research questions and the appropriate data one needs to collect for each, including the level(s) of the data to be collected for each question. Share with the other students, your research questions and the level(s) of the data to be collected for each. Cite your sources. Comment on your classmates' examples.
Notes:
- In your response, please identify at least three types of specific data that your research will collect. You must identify the level of data as nominal, ordinal, interval, or ratio, and explain why a specific classification were chosen to justify your classification. In some cases, data classification will be dependent on the way how the question is asked in the survey and how the answer prompts are structured. Please make sure you discuss this too. It might be worth it to provide the actual survey question and answer prompts/format.
- You may use one overall research question/thesis to be answered; but you must identify at least three types of data that will be generated/collected in conducting such research.
