Research Log

Writing from the playlist: Research paper TWRT$211.$

On the last page of the assignment linked above, there is a list of required source types corresponding to nine research logs$.$ Upon completion of these logs$,$ you should be well on your way to a well$-$developed $10+$ page$/10$ source required draft.

Please use your copy of this research log to collect all your log entries in this one single document. To use this document, go to File$>$ Make a Copy$>$ then Rename $($your name$$s Research Log$).$ Then File$>$Move your log to your shared folder. This move ensures Jacob has access as an editor $($jacoma@uw$.$edu$).$ I will comment on this log from time to time, as much as I can.

Turning in your Research Log:

Post the link to your Google doc whenever it is due in Canvas for two reasons: $1)$ to show you are keeping up and $2)$ so I don$$t need to go searching for your log$.$ Remember, you MUST use the blue Share button at the top right to copy the link $($URL$)$ you post in Canvas for the assignment submission. For more on how to do this, see Scenario $2$ in this link: How to share a Google doc. If you don$$t use the blue share button but instead use the URL, your document will be locked, and late, subject to late penalty.

Who is this log for?This log is really for you, like a journal to explore ideas. This log is also for us$,$ so we can have conversations in the margins. I$$d be happy if you respond to my comments from time to time. Or ask me questions. For this reason, please do NOT resolve comments; it helps me know what I$$ve already read. Thanks!

If there is an urgent question or comment, make sure I see it right away by tagging me by typing $$@jacoma@uw$.$edu$$ in the margin comment. Doing so sends me an email as soon as you submit your comment. Otherwise, the comment will be less likely to be addressed as I might miss it when I comment on new rather than old material.
