Research Paper: Mental Health Disorders (DSM-5)

Instructions: use library (CRC) resources to research and document information on at least 1 medically diagnosed mental disorder choosing from the list below.

• You will need at least 4- 8 references using appropriate citing notation (all internet site MUST be cited properly to avoid plagiarism).
• Research paper should be at least 6-8 pages (not including citation page and cover page)
• You will need to use/review the DSM-V to understand the diagnosis, please cite the DSM-V as 1/6 of the required references. Your textbooks should also be included as sources.

Paper Outline: Please add a introduction and summary to your papers. Introduction explain what you are writing about and your understanding of it prior to researching it. The Summary should tell me in detail what you learned while researching the topics and did it challenge your original understanding.

Research information on at least 1 medically diagnosed mental health disorder including the following information: A. Definition

B. Diagnosis symptoms C. Treatment Options/Methods & Theory D. Personal perception /introspection about working with such patients as a Human Services worker (explain why you could or could not work with clients with this type of mental disorder)

E. Summarize the experiences writing the paper, you can disclose mental health disorders that you did not know about, reflect on previous classes and/or critically think about how being trained to diagnosis as a advanced degree holder may be challenging.
