Research Question: Are people more likely to help an attractive person or an unattractive person? To test this, a social psychologist had a person perceived as attractive and a person perceived as unattractive (as pre- measured by the experimenter) drop 15 pieces of paper on the ground. Then, the experimenter recorded how many pieces of paper the participants picked up from the ground. Remember that attractiveness is a subjective concept (it is in the eyes of the beholder). In SPSS, open the dataset titled, "SPSS Dataset Assignment 3 Part 1" (posted on Moodle). Be sure to look at how the data are entered for this research design and select the correct scale of measurement for the variables. 1. What is the independent variable? What are its levels?
