Researchers want to determine the correlation between Lavender essential oil and participants' level of relaxation. To do this, they plan to measure relaxation using a biofeedback machine to calculate an overall "relaxation score". Of course, this would be the DV. The IV will be the oils (with or without oil). The researchers are trying to decide if they should do the study as a between group or a within group design. They plan to recruit 40 participants.
