Respond to Kee's post. Find an article on one of the theories that identifies different evidence-based techniques than those proposed by your colleague. Discuss how these other techniques can be applied to the scenario (and a client with the selected diagnosis). Take the discussion a level deeper in terms of theoretical interventions.. please use 7th edition a p a format. Please list references used. Please use up to date/ current scholarly references/sources (within the last 5 years) . cite each paragraph with facts.

Steve is showing signs of being able to have a Enuresis diagnosis. The term "enuresis" refers to the involuntary or deliberate repetitive voiding of urine onto clothing or the bed. The existence of clinically significant distress or impairment in social, academic (occupational), or other critical areas of functioning, or the conduct occurring at least twice a week for three consecutive months, indicate that the behavior is clinically significant. Additionally, the client must be five years old or older, and the conduct cannot be explained by the physiological effects of drugs (such as diuretics or antipsychotic medications) or other illnesses (such as diabetes, spina bifida, or seizure disorders) (APA, 2013).

Steve is eight years old and is having concerning behaviors after the passing of his mother. One of the most concerning behaviors he is displaying are his consistent urination accidents that are happening at school. During daytime (diurnal) enuresis, the child defers voiding until incontinence occurs, sometimes because of a reluctance to use the toilet as a result of social anxiety or a preoccupation with school or play activity. The enuretic events most commonly occur in the early afternoon on school days or after returning from school. Children with executive functioning problems and other neurological problems that may be associated with symptoms of disruptive behavior may be at high risk for urinary incontinence without sensory awareness (APA, 2013).

For Steve, an intervention based on Gesalt theory would be beneficial. According to the Gesalt theoryindividuals can grow into self-regulating beings who feel integrated and a part of existence. Even though people are good at managing their lives, sometimes they could need help. This disconnection from essential facets of their identities, such as their emotions, bodies, and interpersonal interactions, causes psychological suffering in individuals. Gestalt therapy seeks to support individuals in identifying such underutilized elements and in self-repair, integration, and balancing. Patients that receive gestalt therapy are more likely to be self-aware, self-sufficient, and self-aware. The most important areas of attention, according to Gestalt theory, are people's present thoughts and emotions. It's also important to take into account the importance that arises from the individual's interpretation of the actual occurrence (Henderson & Thompson, 2015).

As for interventions I would use when working with Steve, the first would be to implement the correct language that is needed for this theory. I woulduse the present tense, refrain from gossiping, replace cant with wont, what and how for why, and transform inquiries into statements. Experiments would be another intervention tactic I would employ. Gesalt experiments include activities such as role plays, assignments, enactments, and other things designed to raise awareness. To make Steve more conscious of his recent actions, this will be crucial.
