1. Describe an urban legend you know. Why do you think that urban legend exists? What cultural fear(s) about living in a modern or urban environment does it reflect? Find a research study that looks at that urban legend and summarize what they found.

2. Briefly describe each of the three studies: Asch, Zimbardo & Milligram. What have we learned about conformity and obedience from these studies?

3. Read the full Stanford Prison Study. Describe the procedures, methods, research question, and results. Discuss how the guards and Zimbardo himself were able to gain obedience and compliance from the prisoners? Discuss the different methods of deception that were used in this experiment?
