Sultan Alanazi 4/8/23 SUB: WEEK 11 l have had several notable incidences when I felt that my privacy contract had been violated. In one of the incidences, I was surfing the web looking for a watch that I had somewhere and wanted to know its price and where I could buy it. I ended up knowing the watch's price and a good place I could buy it. However, as soon as I opened Facebook and Instagram Apps on my phone, I was bombarded with advertisements for the same watch that l was looking for. To me, this was a blatant violation of the privacy contract because there was no other way that I could have been targeted by such advertisements. The most frustrating thing from this experience is that there was no button to turn off the adverts or a way to let these companies know that I did not appreciate being bombarded with adverts for a watch I had already decided to buy from my preferred seller. For example, selling user data to marketers without the consumers' explicit consent is to me one of the common ways the privacy contract gets violated
