Respond to the following in a minimum of 100 words:
Discrimination still exist despite the laws that prohibit them I have came across the glass ceiling, race, sex and religion discrimination. I know it still exist because I know some managers that take advantage of the power that their role or position that they have. I feel it will never vanish in certain organizations.
I feel the laws prohibiting discrimination and the consequences are appropriate for this era. I researched and seen the changes of laws that did not protect certain kind of discrimination in the 1960's. We now have laws that protect pregnant women, transgender, equal employment rights, sexual harassment and disability discrimination.
Elimination of workplace discrimination can be done by getting everyone involved with information that can lead to removing discrimination out of an organization regardless of the title or position the violator fills. Do this by having the information available for any employee within the organization has experienced whatever form of discrimination so it can be address and handle in the proper channels so an individual(s) can work effectively within the organization without having to worry about discrimination.
